New Brother In Christ

I received this update from our team working in Port-au-Prince this morning.  What an amazing way to start off the day.  Thank you for praying for these teams.

Bon swa!
Greetings everyone!  We had another nice, warm day in Gressier.  Brother Glenn started us out this morning by sharing his testimony.   Eddie, one of the family members who will be living in home #37 and who has been working with us the last couple weeks, came forward to accept Jesus.  The work that was done the rest of the day sure seemed to pale in significance compared to having a new brother in Christ today.

For home #38, the trusses were set, the perlins and brace system were installed, and the metal roof was attached.  We were short one piece of metal to finish the roof cap, but we should have that tomorrow for installation.  The Haitian crew, with some of the team's help, continued work on the spackling for #38.  Over on home #39, the final touches on the foundation wall forms were made, steel installed, then the wall was poured.  After lunch, the forms for the foundation were pulled, site excavating was done, and materials were moved in place for the next construction steps.

Plans for tomorrow are to install the ceiling system for #38, and start building the walls, door frames and trusses for #39.  The team continues to have great opportunities to interact and share Christ's love with many others.  We are grateful for those opportunities.  We are also praising Jesus for a fantastic day!

Thanks for your prayers.

Here are a few pictures I received from this team too.
